Atlanta Campus: Confidential Resources

Office of Respect: Office of Respect provides 24-hour support resources for Emory students impacted by sexual and/or relationship-based harm. The office aims to provide support; help students learn about their options and rights; assist with safety planning; provide legal and medical accompaniment; offer academic assistance, and individual and group counseling.

Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP): FSAP serves both the Atlanta and Oxford campuses and offers a variety of programs, services, and resources to promote emotional, behavioral, and workplace health to Emory employees.

The FSAP offers emergency consultations during regular business hours and after-hours on-call services 24 hours a day/7 days per week including holidays by calling the main number – 404-727-WELL (9355).

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS): CAPS at the Atlanta campus offers professional, licensed counselors who provide mental health counseling to students.

Additionally, CAPS advises the Emory HelpLine (HL), which is a confidential, peer-support telephone helpline. You can reach the HelpLine at 404-727-4357.

Emory Ombuds Office: The Emory Ombuds Office serves both the Atlanta and Oxford campuses. It is a confidential, safe space where students, faculty, and staff can discuss concerns about misunderstandings, incivility, or possible wrongdoing.

Office of Spiritual and Religious Life: Atlanta Campus: Supports the university's religious and philosophical diversity by providing opportunities to engage with spiritual life on campus through worship, meditation, education, service, social justice, and interfaith engagement.

Student Health Services (SHS): Atlanta Campus: Provides healthcare services to students.

Atlanta Campus: Non-Confidential Resources

Emory Police Department: Depending on the location of the incident, the Emory Police Department or a local police authority can assist you. You can initiate a report by calling the Emory Police Department at 404-727-6111. You can also call 911 and be connected directly to the jurisdiction’s emergency switchboard.

EPD can make referrals to campus and community support resources and can investigate sexual misconduct to determine if criminal charges are warranted. Calling EPD (or another law enforcement agency) does not require that a person impacted by sexual misconduct press charges.

Student Intervention Services (SIS): This group consists of trained professionals who can assist students in crisis.

Campus Life Professional On Call (CLP): Every night, a designated Campus Life staff member is available to assist you in the event of an emergency.

You can reach the CLP/RLC on call by contacting your residence advisor on call or EPD [911 or 404-727-6111.] The CLP/RLC can provide after-hours administrative assistance managing safety and security issue.

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS.): Serves Emory’s global community which includes international students, scholars, and hosting departments through immigration advisement, intercultural competency and leadership training, and educational and social events.
