Emory works to move forward on issues of equity, and Civil Rights Compliance by taking responsibility and acting to identify and eliminate persistent patterns of inequity that impede our ability to fulfill our institutional mission.
The Department of Equity and Civil Rights Compliance (DECRC) ensures Emory University's compliance with laws pertaining to equal opportunity, affirmative action, Title IX, the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
