Online Course Offerings

Building Supportive Communities: Clery Act and Title IX (Title IX)

This course trains faculty and staff on how to recognize, report, and prevent sexual misconduct against students, covering sexual and interpersonal violence awareness and prevention subjects required under Title IX guidance, the Campus SaVE Act, and the final VAWA regulations.

Building Supportive Communities: Taking Action (Title IX Refresher)

This course provides a review to faculty and staff on core concepts to further support awareness and readiness when it comes to recognizing sexual misconduct, responding appropriately, and reporting accordingly.

Clery Act Overview

This course is designed to educate college faculty and staff about the legal requirements mandated by the Clery Act. Topics covered include the importance of this legislation, campus security authorities’ reporting responsibilities, the elements of the Annual Security Report, and timely warning and emergency notifications.

Dating Violence: Identification and Prevention

This course provides faculty and staff members with the definition and potential causes of dating violence, your responsibility in reporting instances of abuse and steps to prevent abuse.

Discrimination: Avoiding Discriminatory Practices - Supervisors

This course provides supervisors with an overview of some best practices that will help them manage a diverse environment, avoid discriminatory behaviors and create a culture that embraces acceptance and respect for all.

Discrimination Awareness in the Workplace

This course is designed to provide basic awareness and understanding of discrimination. This awareness can help employees avoid discriminatory behaviors and build a school culture that reflects inclusivity and respect for all.

Preventing Harassment and Discrimination: Gateway

This course prepares learners to cultivate and maintain a workplace culture resistant to discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Employees will be equipped with the information and skills that promote intervention, empathy and allyship.

Preventing Harassment and Discrimination - Non-Supervisors

This course engages employees and raises their awareness about harassment and discrimination by explaining the law, as well as how to recognize harassment and discrimination and to report misconduct to the appropriate person. The training provides employees with practical tips on helping maintain a safe, inclusive environment for work, including safe and positive options for bystander intervention, advice on using inclusive language in the workplace, and information on microaggressions.

Preventing Harassment and Discrimination - Supervisors

This course is designed to help supervisors address inappropriate behavior before it creates a "hostile work environment." It gives supervisors the skills necessary to reduce potential legal risks by recognizing and addressing abusive behavior and other misconduct, including microaggressions and unconscious bias, which may lead to workplace bullying or hostility, reducing productivity and creativity. The training invites supervisors to consider the nature of harassment and discrimination and provides practical tips on creating a safe, inclusive environment for work, including safe and positive options for bystander intervention. 

To Access Brainier

Please log into PeopleSoft/Self-Service with your Emory username and password. From the home page, follow the path below to access courses:

  • Under Self-Service, select the Learning Management tile
  • Next, select Learning Management - Brainier
  • Once in Brainier, search the course name in the search bar located at the top of the page
  • Select the course from the list and click start
