No, you can not change a job code once its created.

Yes, but only for wording or additional information. Do not change job duties, rank or authority.

No, the requested documents must be in the job ad and denoted on the Job Details tab.

Send an email to oei@emory.edu requesting a change.

No, no messages go to the candidate unless someone intentionally selects “Send Email” or “Send Form”.

Utilize the “Invite to Onboarding” email feature. Please reference the Invite to Onboarding document.

The most common reason happens during onboarding when the first slide, question #1 is not in ’’approved” status. Please reference the Onboarding document.

Which Faculty candidates should receive a background check?

If the candidate is new to Emory University and will be paid by the university in ANY faculty, faculty equivalent, Librarian or Post Doctoral fellow position.

If the candidate is going to be in any visiting paid capacity.

If the candidate has been terminated from Emory and will be returning after a period of MORE than 9 months.

Which faculty do not need a background check?

Current faculty moving from one department to another.

Current faculty being promoted to a new position.

Rehired faculty that have not been employed for less than 9 months.

Faculty moving to an Emeritus faculty title.
