Chaneta Forts
Chaneta Forts joined Emory University’s Department of Equity and Civil Rights Compliance as Assistant Director Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Data Analyst in September 2015. In this role, Chaneta works to develop and implement Emory’s affirmative action plan as mandated by Executive Order 11246. She also serves as a data analyst, staff trainer, and enjoys creating content for the equity and inclusion newsletter.
Prior to transitioning to Emory, Chaneta worked at Georgia State University. She gained extensive experience in various roles as an AA/EEO professional. Chaneta’s experience included affirmative action plan development, compliant processing, counseling and resolution, recruitment compliance, equal employment opportunity and affirmative action law.
Chaneta holds an AS in Business Administration, with honors, from Georgia Perimeter College, a BBA in Management, with a concentration in Human Resources, cum laude, from Georgia State University. She also earned her Juris Masters from the Emory University School of Law in 2020. Chaneta earned certification credentials from the American Association for Access Equity and Diversity (AAAED-Sr. CAAP), and from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM-PHR).
