Miriam Smith

Miriam Smith is the Assistant Director of Training and Education within the Department of Title IX. Prior to coming to Emory in November 2023, Miriam worked at Oglethorpe University as the Senior Director of Title IX and Equity, where she served as the institution’s Title IX coordinator, Section 504 coordinator and overseeing the Office of Accessibility Services. Miriam also has previous experience in Accessibility, Student Success and Residence Life from Agnes Scott College and Oglethorpe University, where she served as an Access Consultant, the Assistant Director of Academic Success and a Residence Life Coordinator.

Miriam received her undergraduate degree from Sewanee: The University of the South and a Master of Science from Georgia State University. Miriam is currently pursuing a PhD in Strategic Leadership in Education from Belmont University.
